Sign-Up and Registration Process

It’s simple to get started with Marauders Football and Cheer.  All information and the necessary sign-up forms can be found in this section.  If you have any questions, feel free to send an EMAIL, call the HOTLINE or check the FAQ section.

Marauders Fees     (view calendar)

The WCYF Marauders is registered as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) Corporation established for the benefit of youth athletes.  The goal of the Marauders is to finish the year with a net-zero budget, basically to generate enough revenue to field a quality program and cover expenses.

Try-Out
Fee  
This fee is due with your online registration.  The revenue generated from the Try-Out Fee is used to cover the initial costs of starting the program, such as recruiting flyers and ads, league fees, insurance and administrative costs such as postage, papers and envelopes. The Try-Out Fee is fully refundable.  After August 1st, a coupon will be issued good for next year's Try-Out fee.

Football
Registration Fee  
This fee is due upon registration.  The revenue generated from the registration fee along with fundraising and sponsorships covers the bulk of the costs of the program, including football uniforms and equipment, field usage fees, referees, our annual yearbook, awards and trophies, coaches plaque,  insurance, and administrative expenses. The registration package and fee completes the registration of your athlete into the program.  If your athlete is released for any reason OR if you or your athlete decide not to participate, the registration fee is fully refundable until Certification (offical weigh-ins for Football and July 1st for Cheer).  Once an athlete has been certified, then the fee is non-refundable.  There is a discount of $25 for each child after one in the program.

Uniform Deposit 
This fee is due upon registration.  The revenue generated from the registration fee along with fundraising and sponsorships covers the bulk of the costs of the program, equipment, field usage fees, referees, our annual yearbook, awards and trophies, coaches plaque, insurance, and administrative expenses.  Also included are competition fees and the two day mandatory camp that DVYFC will be hosting The registration package and fee completes the registration of your athlete into the program.  If your athlete is released for any reason OR if you or your athlete decide not to participate, the registration fee is fully refundable until Certification (offical weigh-ins for Football and July 1st for Cheer).  Once an athlete has been certified, then the fee is non-refundable.  There is a discount of $25 for each child after one in the program.
$250 Cheer Uniform The cheer uniform is purchased and kept by the cheerleader.  Cheer uniforms may be used for subsequent years providing the Cheer Director approves the uniform fits properly and is in good condition.  
$300 Football Equipment Deposit The football equipment deposit is our insurance that football equipment will be returned on time and in good condition. This check is not cashed.  It is held pending the return of the equipment at the end of the season by the last return day in December, at which time your check is returned to you.  
$400 Parent Participation Deposit The parent participation deposit is a fully-refundable deposit for those parents who volunteer to do their share and help us during the season.  Sign-ups for jobs will be available on Marauder Day. This check will only be cashed in the event parents fail to fulfill their required volunteer duties.  Failing to fulfill their volunteer duties includes failing to show up for a scheduled duty and not arranging for a substitute.  Parents who wish not to do any volunteer duties during the season can "buyout" with a fee of $400.00 payable on Marauder Day.  Our organization's success is based on volunteers like you.  Without your help, we can't have an organization.

You are required to attend at least one Marauder Day to finalize your registration.  Marauder Day is mandatory.  Please see the Calendar for up-to-date times, dates and locations.  Player attendance at registration is required.  Athletes must be present to receive practice T-shirt (Cheer) or shimmel (Football) and get ID Photo taken.  Athletes who do not attend will not be allowed on the practice field until the entire process has been completed.  No partial packets will be accepted.  Please be prepared with all required information, checks, and paperwork.

The mandatory registration materials which must be provided at registration include:

An official DVYFC Physical Card, filled out and signed by a physician prior to registration

An original birth certificate, green card or current passport (1st year players only)    Absolutely no color copies accepted.  We keep the original until the conference has verified the participants age.  

In addition, your athlete will have his or her ID photo taken, parent participation sign-ups will be available, and fundraiser details will be handed out.

Note:  Registration will NOT be conducted on the first day of practice August 1st.

 

Cheer Camps and Cheer Try-Outs     (view calendar)

WCYF will be conducting a cheer camps and clinics.  Please refer to the Calendar for event dates and locations.   We will be teaching a cheer and dance.  They will also receive a clinic T-shirt.  Clinic fee $45.  

Official Certification and Weigh-Ins     (view calendar)

Official certification for football players is completed at the mandatory official weigh-Ins 9/2 - 9/4.  We will have a designated location and time to bring all Marauder teams to weigh-ins.  Please plan ahead as the weigh-ins will take several hours.  Help your child plan to get homework done ahead of time and pack a snack for after weigh-ins.  Once a player has completed certification, they are cleared to play in regular season games by the league.
